Q: Journey from Nepal to the USA.

“Coming to the USA wasn’t easy, especially for a girl like me without any family, friends, or relatives here. It was a challenging decision because I left behind everything familiar to me.

MIU made me feel at home as soon as I arrived on campus, treating me like family and preparing me for my professional career. The MIU staff, faculty, and my classmates, who came from different parts of the world, made sure I always had a smile on my face with their friendly personalities.”

Q: Thoughts on the CS Career Center training.

“I would say it’s the most important aspect. After students acquire all the technical skills, they must learn how to showcase those skills to the world. This course is designed to help individuals develop and implement a plan to achieve their career goals. It covers a range of topics such as strategies to find paid practicum work, self-assessment, and goal setting.”

Q: Thoughts on the current IT market in the U.S.

“The current IT market in the US is thriving and constantly evolving. As the home of top IT companies like Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Oracle, along with many other tech giants, it is dynamic and evolving rapidly. This evolution is influenced by various factors such as technological advancements, economic conditions, and global events.”

“MIU provides foundational knowledge in computer science along with problem-solving skills. It covers most of the industry trend courses required in the current IT market. Most importantly, MIU’s MS program offers a career strategies course to prepare you to face the IT market.”

Q: What encouragement would you give to software developers who are considering the ComPro program?

“If you’re looking for a professional IT course and want to build a successful career anywhere in the world, you are in the right place. While the journey may not be easy, seeking guidance can make it smoother and more rewarding.
